Taken last February when I visited Oregon and went on a snow hike with my friend Brian Bonham.
Looking forward to making another return visit to the Pacific Northwest in a few weeks.

Last October, I finally made my way to the Oneonta Gorge, a location I have been wanting to visit for some time. It was a a bit of a challenge to photograph, but very beautiful to see.

The waterfalls in Oregon never cease to impress and this waterfall was no different. This was stop number one on my first day in Oregon and the rocks were particularly slippery due to the temps dipping below freezing. I returned home with 2 very large bruises from slipping during this hike, but I also managed to capture a few shots so it was definitely worth it.

The Columbia River Gorge has hundreds if not thousands of waterfalls. I have yet to be disappointed by one I've seen and these falls were no different. The terrain, light and foliage varied so much here that I took dozens of images, all very different from one another.

During my last trip to Oregon, I shot my first landscape pano with a 17mm tilt shift. The conditions were right for filters to be unnecessary, the only downside of this lens is the inability to use filters, so I snapped a horizontal image and shifted the lens upward to capture the second image. Stitching was done in Photoshop, using a single click. I then brought the image back into Lightroom for final editing.

It had been raining all day, for the first time in 3 months, when I visited this nuclear power plant in Oregon. As you can imagine, I was pretty disappointed when I found out I was unable to climb the tower that day due to the weather.
I knew the plant would be incredible regardless, but climbing a cooling tower has been at the top of my bucket list for a while.
Guess I'll just have to go back...

During my trip to Portland last weekend, a few of the local photographers took me up to one of their favorite spots, Zig Zag Falls. As a California native, who hasn't been to the Pacific Northwest sinceI was a kid, I can honestly say I immediately fell in love with the greenery and the stunning fall colors.
