It started out with magic
and ended with goodnight
A long walk into forever land
With you by my side
A peaceful everlasting
taken with a grin
and you whispered our secret
to the stars, confessing.

Beautiful area of Glen Canyon, Utah, taken back in December 2015.
After searching for over an hour for this location the night prior, we decided to return for sunrise the next day to give ourself more time here.

I have always loved the landscapes of Utah; around every bend in the road, the rock and sand changes. This area of the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument is no different.
We arrived here late in the evening, the 4x4 road to get to this spot took longer than we anticipated, just as the sun was setting. We grabbed our gear and ran out to be surrounded by this fascinating landscape.
We were the only people for miles and it was perfect.
Travel: 2,600 Miles of the Southwest Through My iPhone
I spent the last week of 2015 on the road. The adventure started when I met up with my friend Joe in the Grand Canyon and we continued our adventure exploring more of Arizona and Utah over the next 5 days.
In the next few months, I'll be publishing fully processed DSLR images one at a time on my blog, but those images are not the only note-worthy moments from the trip.
During our 2,600 miles on the road, I captured dozens of images on my phone. The photographs below are the moments in between each DSLR shutter click. These are moments seldom shared and also some of my favorite moments from my travels.
